Unconfirmed reports are pouring in about fresh Chinese incursion into the Indian territory in Ladakh. Media reports have been quoted as saying that Chinese troops entered the Indian side of the Pangong lake in eastern Ladakh earlier this week.
The media has quoted a government sources, saying, PLA troops in five high-speed boats came nearly six kilometres inside the Indian portion of the lake on June 24. They retreated after more than two hours, on being challenged by the Indian troops.
The Pangong lake continues to remain a matter of dispute between the two neighbours.
A major pat of the saltwater lake is under Chinese control in the Autonomous Region of Tibet.
