
The DMK on Monday respected the dispatch of Chennai Metro Rail administrations and asserted credit for conveying the vehicle framework to this city.
Party treasurer M.K. Stalin said that the introduction of the Metro Rail by Chief Minister Jayalalithaa brought ‘incredible satisfaction’ to him.
“This task was started by the DMK government to furnish the city with a world-class mass quick transport framework (MRTS). The authorization of Rs 14,600 crore for the venture was sanction by the DMK Cabinet on November 7, 2007,” he said in an announcement.
“Finally, the long sit tight is over for the tenants of Chennai,” he said, including, Chennai was one stage closer to the meaning of ‘a propelled city.’
