Mercury Touches 41 Degrees In Delhi, Hotter Days Ahead

The mercury has started soaring. In Delhi, the mercury, for the first time this year, breached the 40 degree mark, touching 41 degrees, two notches above the season’s average, while the minimum temperature of the day was at 23 degrees.

According to weather officials, the next three days would witness hotter, sunny conditions with the temperatures on Wednesday likely to touch 42 degrees. The mercury is expected to fall down to 40 degrees only by the weekend with cloudy conditions taking over.

“Most of this week is expected to remain bright and sunny. There could be clouds and thunder showers only at the end of this week. Heat is, otherwise, expected to remain throughout,” said a senior official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
