Telugu Desam MLA from Sathupalli in Khammam District, Sandra Venkata Veeraiah was on Tuesday remanded to 14 days’ legal authority by the Special Judge for Anti-Corruption Bureau case. He was captured on Monday for asserted association in the Cash-for-Vote case, in which another TDP MLA A. Revanth Reddy was captured before.
On Tuesday evening, Mr. Venkata Veeraiah was conveyed from the ACB office to the Special Court, where Justice M. Lakshmipathi heard contentions and remanded the MLA to legal authority.
In the interim, the ACB has recorded an appeal in Court looking for 5 days of authority, while counsel for the MLA moved a safeguard request. The Special Judge is to hear contentions on the two petitions on Wednesday.
While leaving the Court, Mr. Venkata Veeraiah why should about board the vehicle taking him to the jail, he said that the Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao was acting like a tyrant.
