Modi’s cabinet: 7 leaders from Maharashtra get cabinet positions; 6 from BJP and 1 from Shiv Sena

Following days of speculation, some details of Narendra Modi’s cabinet has been revealed.

BJP leader Sushma Swaraj heads the Ministry of External Affairs, while Arun Jaitley is all set to take over the Finance portfolio.

It also confirmed that Modi’s close aide, Rajnath Singh, will be next Minister of Home Affairs, and Ravi Shankar Prasad will take responsibility of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

Nripendra Mishra, it informed will be the Principal Secretary in Prime Minister’s Office.

All probable ministers met for tea with Narendra Modi, informs Chirag Paswan. “Our national president Ramvilas Paswan was also present,” he added.

There are seven leaders from Maharashtra to have gotten a cabinet position, informs Gopinath Munde. “6 from the BJP and 1 from Shiv Sena,” he said

Narendra Modi is set to be sworn in as India’s 15th prime minister at the Rashtrapati Bhavan forecourt this evening.
