Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh on Wednesday denounced the killing of four cops by Maoists in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur region saying that the primary point of the Naxalites is to spread dread.
“The way the Naxalites are carrying out these law violations, they couldn’t care less about humankind or the individuals. Their fundamental point is to spread fear. When we capture any of them, we give them police assurance, yet the way those unarmed officers were snatched from a transport mirrors their actual face before the individuals,” said Singh.
“They have understood that the populace of the state are not with them and consequently they are attempting to spread dread in the state,” he included.
In the interim, Chhattisgarh Home Minister Ram Sevak Paikra named the occurrence as ‘shocking’.
“This is an awful occurrence. The legislature will investigate the matter,” he said.
Four cops, who had been kidnapped by Maoists, were discovered dead in the state’s Gumda town in Bijapur area.
