A wing of one of the performing planes hits the other during the Aero India 2015 show at Air Force station, Yelahanka in Bengaluru
Two of the four-plane team of the acrobatic fliers, Flying Bulls, managed to escape unhurt when one plane hit the wing of the other on thursday afternoon.
The aerobatics team from Czech Republic was in the midst of one of its performances when the accident occurred. During one of the manoeuvres, the wing of one of the planes hit the wing of the other. However, both the planes managed to land safely.
The plane that was hit, was flown by Radka Machova, lead pilot with Flying Bulls.The air show was stopped momentarily but after a half an hour delay it has resumed.
Ministry of Defence officials have said that it is unlikely that the team will perform for the rest of the Aero India show. The Flying Bulls team were to perform till February 22.
