Narine was accounted for by the match authorities on 22nd April 2015 after KKR’s amusement against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Vishakapatnam. Consequently he took a biomechanical examination of his activity in Sri Ramachandra Arthroscopy and Sports Sciences Center (SRASSC) in Chennai. The BCCI Committee reasoned that Narine’s off-spinners were issuing him an uncalled for point of interest in the wake of review match footage and the investigation report done by SRASSC.

The decision does not mean that Narine has been banned from bowling entirely. His stock ball though has been taken out of the equation.

Pursuant to clause 3.4 of the IPL Suspected Illegal Bowling Action Policy, the player would in such circumstances automatically be suspended from bowling in BCCI-organised matches,” it said.

The choice will come as a tremendous blow for guarding champions Kolkata Knight Riders who were vigorously dependent on Narine’s riddle spinners on their approach to secure the title a year ago. Narine had not included in KKR’s recreations after the annihilation against SRH in Vizag despite the fact that he was permitted to play. KKR had taken the choice as a safety oriented measure and have Brad Hogg, Johan Botha, Kuldeep Yadav and KC Cariappa as would be prudent substitutions.
